Should I stay or should I go now?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. With Golden Saddle Cyclery taking up the majority of my time, I just don’t know if I can justify keeping up with Tracko. Is it time to let it go? I’m not even sure who still follows along here, but would love to hear your thoughts.

  1. If you’d post an article once a year, I’ll still look forward to searching the web for Tracko and reading it. Then I’d scroll down to “next” and continue reading all you’ve acummilated.

  2. I personally visit your blog at least 3 times a week, sometimes daily and have been loving the whole site since I stumbled upon it somewhere in 2011. It got me into fixed gear riding, which I still do.
I have even gone through most of the blog from page 1048 to today in the last few week, haha.

This obviously is just my personal opinion and would still love to see a new post every now and again, even if it means just once every two weeks or once a month. There have been a lot of Fixed gear blogs gone down the last few years, but yours is still standing and has a special place (in my heart and pinned tabs).

But you gotta do what you love, first of all, so follow that trail (or your heart) and decide what you want to do along the way 🙂

  3. I’ve checked almost daily for years…can certainly understand the ebb and flow of content if you’re trying to post daily but I would still keep at it!

  4. I have Tracko in my RSS feed reader so I check basically daily. With so many cycling blogs disappearing or going inactive over the last couple years I (selfishly) hope you’ll keep going, but I also understand that blogging and other social media can feel like a hassle or obligation at times. I will continue to read and enjoy even if the posts are very infrequent. I agree with Maxi Taxi’s sentiments above.

    1. I don’t even know what a RSS feed is, but because of your comment about the blogs going away, I’m going to stick it out. Thank you!

  5. Still check it daily (semi-daily when you don’t post as much) as I hit my usual spots. You always have fun content and don’t feel like a corporately sponsored website. Regardless if you keep it going, we’ll have the memories and those awesome Tracko stickers!

  6. I always loved your blog and continue to love it. You’ve got a great photographic/artistic eye and I appreciate what you decide to share. I check in weekly or more (never did set myself up an RSS feed). I echo the sentiments above – it’d still be good even with infrequent posts. Real life is happening too! I say let the website ride and post when you feel compelled. Peace and love from Issaquah, WA.

    1. THANK YOU!!! I’ve really tried to only post things I’m absolutely into these last couple of years and that has really helped.

  7. In my bookmarks since 2008 or so.
You can post less, I don’t mind, but I still check it everyday.
Thanks for this and keep going, if you fell like it 🙂

  8. I’ve been loving this site for a looong time, and well, its time to give you love! Been a hell of a ride with you, but if life and projects take over, give them them the dues they need if thats where you want your focus to go.

Whatever you decide – thank you!

    1. I can make time, especially after these comments. Thank you all so much, and thank you Matthew Toms for actually sending me love.

  9. I’m checking the site about once a week. I always appreciate your view and corner of the world of cycling. Always happy when I do see a new post up!

More importantly take care of yourself. I love tracko but if not posting for a week or two is gonna give you some much deserved rest and mental clarity I’ll still check in every so often for once you do post.
