Nick Hand and Robin Mather both have workshops at Centrespace in Bristol. Robin designs and builds bicycles and also teaches at the Bicycle Academy in Frome, Somerset. Nick, a graphic designer and photographer, runs a not-for-profit letterpress print shop that teaches folk how to compose and print. Nick is no stranger to long-distance rides, in 2009 he completed a 6,500-mile ride around the British Isles recording stories of artists and craftspeople along the way for the Slowcoast project.
A few kids from Los Angeles have been making these patches and handing them out around town and at the local races. I hear they’re even throwing a race this weekend, anybody wanna share the info on that? Nothing makes me happier than seeing the youth of today making stuff, especially when it’s about bikes and it makes a statement. You can follow them on Instagram @armedwithabike!
Cannondale & DSC have teamed up to create the livery of their 2014 TDF cycles. Each rider has their spirit animal adorned on their TT in a style akin to native American Haida style. Go Green.
