Today (17th March) saw a truly epic edition of Milan – San Remo, the longest of all the great one-day classics.
Snow caused chaos, freezing the peloton and leading to the race having to stop to avoid the snow-bound climbs.
The riders rolled into San Remo with epic tales of the extreme conditions. As Robbie Hunter said to David Millar “when my left eyeball froze, that’s when I lost my shit”.
So, inspired by this brutal, special day, I’ve created this special edition, drawn on the day of the race in honour of those who survived.
